I also provided a screenshot showing I havent missed any other payments. Here is what I wrote for my GW letter, it's simple and to the point. Thank you for being a valued card member. You will receive a decision from us, the same way your request was received. Once we have received your request, by one of these methods, a member of our Credit Bureau Disputes team will review your request and the account. I have included the mailing address and the website needed to submit your request. You will need to log into your online accounts to access the SMC tool.
Your request would need to be received either by mail or via our Secure Messaging Center. I just called and the lady was able to remove the missed payments and is mailing me a letter stating it has been updated from deliquent to no missed payments.
So, I followed up and the auto responder said to call in. I was told I'd get a response within 2 business days, I received a response the next day, but it stated they'd forward the message and I'd get a response in another 2 business days, and I never did. I sent a message on FB, they stated I could mail in a response or used the secure message system online, so I sent it throught the secured portal. It's from July 2019 30 days, I missed June's payment then paid the end of July. Would come in handy, but apparently I have to reapply and start over as a new account, no thanks I'll take the hit to my credit by losing length of credit over worrying about shady business.I have one missed payment on my report and my score took a major hit. With no notice they closed my account and I am completely unable to reach anyone in customer service. Also I was planning on keeping my Big Lots card in case of emergency. Paying off community cards and replacing them with rewards cards through BBB accredited banks. I still shop at Burlington but not with that card. I spoke with multiple managers, even one with customer loyalty and was told nothing to do but wait. I then went ahead and paid the next month's basically a month early, they froze my account until the next billing cycle. not worth the headache.Ĭustomer service is absolutely the worst and very rude! I accidently paid one month's bill twice, the first time was on time and the second was after the due date. When offered a store credit card make sure whether or not it is through Commenity Bank. I am not sure but I did hear that Commenity bank changed their name which I will look into further because I do not want to be associated with them at all. I was harassed by telephone for months on end. Luckily I saved every receipt and documented everything. It is extremely upsetting that I actually overpaid these thieves and now I have a court date that they want to assume a for almost $900. Everybody in the world knew of the problems with the post office and the extreme delays. I have zero control over the issues that were going on with the post office. I usually pay all of my bills on the same exact date and the only one that I got charged a late fee was commenity bank and that went on for several months. When all the problems happened with the post office that was causing severe delays I believe Commenity bank took full advantage of this to collect late fees. I did contact them to find out what was going on and one of the operators told me that due to covid they did not have this there they needed and their mailroom was way behind and processing payments. I have not made any purchases when the change was made to community Bank and now I apparently owe over $900. I have never ever missed a payment or sent it late and at the time of the change to Commenity I owed just over $300. I had a credit card with Wayfair and then community Bank took over. They are definitely thieves.I actually closed every account I had with them.
